Several days ago i found an old Vogue in my mom’s book shelf, in which i read an article about Annie Leibovitz, one of American best photographer. After googling for “Annie Leibovitz’s Photographs,” and saw her amazing project of John Lennon and Yoko Ono portrait for 1980 Rolling Stone, i officially became a fan of her. She-is-brilliant.
In 2008, the Walt Disney Company hired her to do a series of photographs with celebrities in various roles and scenes for Disney’s “Year of a Million Dreams” campaign. And yes, i’m a big fan of Disney too!! So, here i give you some of her works in that amazing project..
Penelope Cruz was transformed into Belle the Beauty, with Jeff Bridges as Beast from “Beauty and the Beast” (1991)

Rachel Weisz, as Snow White from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (1937)

Olivia Wilde as the Evil Queen and Alec Baldwin became the Spirit of the Magic Mirror from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (1937)

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen portrayed as Wendy Darling, beckoned by Mikhail Baryshnikov as Peter Pan and Tina Fey as Tinker Bell, in a scene entitled Where You Never Have to Grow Up, from “Peter Pan” (2003)

Beyonce portraying Alice, joined by Oliver Platt as the Mad Hatter and Lyle Lovett as The March Hare, took a wild spin in a whirling teacup from Disney’s classic “Alice in Wonderland” (1951)

This one is my favorite, because Michael Phelps was there! Julianne Moore portraying Ariel, surrounded by other mermen including that fastest Olympic swimmerfrom “The Little Mermaid” (1989)

Villains get to have all the fun! This is Queen Latiifah as Ursula The Sea Witch from “The Little Mermaid” (1989)

David Beckham portrayed as the gallant Prince Phillip from Disney’s Classic “Sleeping Beauty” (1959)

Here’s Jessica Biel portrayed as my faovorite Disney character, Pocahontas the tough! This image titled Where Dreams Run Free, from “Pocahontas” (1995). Hmm is there Captain John Martin in that ship behind?

Julie Andrews portraying the Blue Fairy from one of Disney’s most classic animation movie, “Pinocchio” (1940) with her ‘apprentice’ fairy, portrayed by starlet Abigail Breslin

And the last, here’s Scarlett Johansson, portrays the famous Disney Princess, Cinderella from “Cinderella” (1950). Johansson, clad in a glamorous ball gown and a diamond tiara, glides down the palace staircase at the storke of midnight and unknowingly leaves behind a single glass shoe. Classic..
